Instagrand to Taylor Made Stallions for 2021

Taylor Made Stallions has announced via social media that OXO Equine's grade 2-winning Instagrand will stand the 2021 breeding season at Taylor Made near Nicholasville, Ky. The striking son of leading sire Into Mischief will stand for an initial fee of $7,500 stands and nurses under the OXO Equine Stallions at Taylor Made banner. Bred in Kentucky by Stoneway Farm out of the Lawyer Ron mare Assets of War, from the immediate family of grade 1 winners Irish Smoke and Book Review, Instagrand was a $1.2 million purchase by Larry Best's OXO Equine in 2018 at The Gulfstream Sale, Fasig-Tipton's select sale of 2-year-olds in training, from Eddie Woods' consignment. Precocious at 2, Instagrand broke his maiden by 10 lengths, then won the Best Pal Stakes (G2) at Del Mar by 10 1/4 lengths in August 2018. At 3 he finished third in both the Gotham Stakes (G3) at Aqueduct Racetrack, where he earned a '5' Ragozin number, and in the Santa Anita Derby (G1), earning a 95 Beyer Speed Figure while on the Triple Crown trail. Overall, he has two wins and three placings in nine starts and has earned $316,760. Into Mischief, by Harlan's Holiday, is the leading sire of 2020 by progeny earnings and was last year's leading sire. His stud fee for 2020 was $175,000. Instagrand is available for inspection.
