The New York Racing Association announced Jan. 22 its racing calendar for the year, which calls for 202 live race days at Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park, and Saratoga Race Course.

Live racing is currently underway at Aqueduct, where the 2021 winter meet continues through March 28, followed by an 11-day spring meet from April 1-18.

The Aqueduct stakes schedule, inclusive of both winter and spring meets, is available online

Following Aqueduct, live racing will shift to beautiful Belmont Park for a 48-day spring/summer meet, which is highlighted by the 153rd running of the Belmont Stakes (G1) June 5. Belmont races April 22-July 11, four days a week on a Thursday-Sunday schedule.

The 40-day summer meet at Saratoga will open July 15 and continue through Labor Day, Sept. 6. Racing will take place five days a week before a six-day week to conclude the summer. The Travers Stakes (G1) is Aug. 28.

Racing then shifts back to Belmont from Sept. 16-Oct. 31 before wrapping up at Aqueduct. The first of those is an 18-day fall meet through Dec. 5, followed by a winter meet that rounds out the year through Dec. 31.

As a COVID-19 safety measure, New York State currently requires all racetracks to operate without fans onsite. A limited number of owners licensed by the state are currently permitted to attend live racing.
