Union Jackson Sires First Winner at Delaware Park

New York freshman sire Union Jackson sired his first winner Sept. 9 when his daughter Our Tiny Dancer won a one-mile maiden claiming race on Delaware Park's main track by a jaw-dropping eight lengths. Bred in New York by Larry Botting, the filly is out of the winning Roaring Fever mare Dance I Can. Our Tiny Dancer is the mare's first foal to race. Dance I Can has a yearling colt by The Lieutenant and was bred back to Frank Conversation this year. Our Tiny Dancer was first offered at public auction as a weanling by Vinery Sales at the Fasig-Tipton New York Saratoga Fall Mixed Sale, where she was bought back on a final bid of $9,000. She showed next at this year's Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale where Top Line Sales sold her to trainer Amira Chichakly as agent to John Moirano. The filly is raced by a partnership that includes Moirano, Pines Stables, John Irwin, and Salle P Thoroughbred Racing. She finished third in her debut July 5 at Belmont Park and then went unplaced in two starts before uncorking her big win at Delaware Park. Union Jackson is a grade 3-placed, multiple stakes winner by Curlin out of grade 1 winner Hot Dixie Chick. He compiled a 6-1-2 record from 11 starts and earned $273,874. He stood at Sequel Stallions New York this year for $2,500.
