A catalog of twenty horses has been released for the 2022 Wanamaker's August Sale. The sale is comprised of breeding stock, horses of racing age, yearlings, and a weanling.
Bidding will open Thursday, Aug. 25th at 8:00 a.m. ET, with the first listing set to close at 5:00 p.m. ET. Subsequent listings will close in three-minute increments. Detailed information on the buying process can be found at wanamakers.com/buy.
Entries into the sale are highlighted by Ski Slope, a twice-raced maiden 2-year-old filly by Frosted . She placed in a maiden special weight at Keeneland in April on debut before running behind Dazzlingdominika, who since went on to place in the Sorrento Stakes (G2), in her second outing.
Also on offer is Justafantasy, an unraced 2-year-old filly from the first crop of the late sire The Lieutenant. New York-bred and New York-sired, Justafantasy provides for valuable incentives when racing in New York state. She is currently working at Penn National Race Course, is gate approved, and could be nearing a debut soon.
