Magic on Tap Joins Roster at Pleasant Acres Stallions

Pleasant Acres Stallions in Florida announced Sept. 20 the arrival of Magic on Tap, a graded stakes winning son of Tapit, for the 2023 breeding season with a $5,000 fee. There are a limited number of lifetime breeding rights available, the farm indicated. "Helen and I, and the entire team at Pleasant Acres Stallions, are thrilled to have Magic on Tap begin his stallion career at our farm," Joe Barbazon, co-owner of Pleasant Acres Stallions, said in a release. "This is an absolute win for Florida breeders! Magic on Tap is of the same cross as Constitution and Essential Quality—who stand for $85,000 and $75,000 in Kentucky." Magic on Tap compiled a 3-2-0 record in nine starts while racing from 2018-21 with Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert. The gray earned $240,300 for Jane Lyon's Summer Wind Farm, with his career highlight being a victory at age 5 in the 2021 Triple Bend Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita Park. He last started a year ago, finishing fourth in the Los Alamitos Special Stakes. Summer Wind Farm purchased his dam, Aubby K, for $2,400,000 at the 2015 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Mixed Sale from the Three Chimneys Farm consignment. She was carrying Magic on Tap at the time. Aubby K won four of nine starts and $435,004, including the 2013 Humana Distaff Stakes (G1) at Churchill Downs. Besides Magic on Tap, she also produced the graded placed Principe Guilherme from her four foals.
