Arqana Releases Catalog for August Yearling Sale

The catalog for Arqana's flagship August Yearling Sale has been unveiled and includes 20 lots either out of or siblings to group 1 winners. Notable offerings include Haras de Beaufay's Acclamation (GB) half sister to Coventry Stakes (G2) winner Rashabar (IRE) (Lot 52); Haras d'Etreham's Palace Pier (GB) half brother to 2017 Prix de la Foret (G1) winner Aclaim (58); La Motteraye Consignment's Wootton Bassett (GB) filly out of 2019 Prix de Diane (G1) heroine Channel (91); and Haras de Montaigu's Zarak (FR) colt (109), the first foal out of German top-flight scorer Donjah. Others include Etreham's Dubawi (IRE) half brother to group 1 winners Wooded and Bucanero Fuerte (134); Ecurie des Monceaux's Dubawi brother to 2023 Futurity Trophy Stakes (G1) winner Ancient Wisdom (144); Gestut Ammerland's Siyouni (FR) colt out of Lope de Vega (IRE)'s group-winning and group 1-placed Frankel (GB) half sister Lady Frankel (190); and Haras des Capucines' Justify half sister to 2019 Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) winner Champagne Anyone (200). Some 40% of the colts and fillies offered from a total of 325 cataloged are out of black-type mares in the event staged at Arqana's Deauville complex from Aug. 16-18. The sales takes place around the racing weekend which will hold two group 1s in the Prix Morny (G1) and Prix Jean Romanet (G1). Recent graduates of the sale include 2023's unbeaten Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1) and Prix du Jockey Club (G1) hero Ace Impact (IRE) and this year's Prix du Jockey Club victor Look de Vega (FR).
