Debut Winner Cruz Ramirez Added to F-T Digital Sale
Two-year-old filly Cruz Ramirez, a debut winner at Laurel Park Dec. 8, is a late supplement to Fasig-Tipton's December Digital Sale. Trained by Brittany Russell and campaigned by NET Racing, Cruz Ramirez went wire-to-wire in maiden special weight company going six furlongs on the dirt to win by a length as the odds-on favorite. Cruz Ramirez was bred and raised in Kentucky by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings and is a daughter of champion and leading young sire Good Magic, sire of this year's Belmont Stakes (G1) and Haskell Stakes (G1) winner Dornoch. She is out of the mare Ragtime Hope, a multiple stakes winner by Dixieland Band. Bud's Team bought the filly for $165,000 at Fasig-Tipton's October Yearling Sale in 2023 out of the Summerfield consignment. Cruz Ramirez is a half sister to Secret Circle, winner of the Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) and Dubai Golden Shaheen (G1) on his way to career earnings of more than $3.6 million. Cruz Ramirez is cataloged as Hip 346 and consigned by ELiTE, agent. Bidding will close on Cruz Ramirez Dec. 11. Bidding for the December Digital Sale opened Dec. 5.
