"She's a good-sized filly, and that's what buyers are looking for," said Martha Jane Mulholland of Mulholland Springs, who consigned the filly. "This is a New York-bred filly, and I love the New York program. Obviously, the Tiz the Law foals have run great and excited everybody." "It's always up and down," said Mulholland of the market at the January Sale. "They want big, robust, mature horses. You have to bring exactly what they want." Mulholland Springs finished the third session as the third-leading consignor, with six head sold for a total of $330,000. Tiz the Law had eight yearlings sell over the course of the January Sale for $439,000, with an average of $54,875.
