Former BH Video Editor Tracy Dies at 37
Scott Tracy, who worked in video production for BloodHorse from 2012-15, died Feb. 28. He was 37. Tracy displayed his talents during his years on staff as well as additional years as a freelancer. "Scott has been on the BloodHorse team for more than a decade, working on staff as well as freelance," said BloodHorse visuals director Anne Eberhardt Keogh. "His positive energy, enthusiasm, and amazing talent worked to produce award-winning video projects. Our hearts go out to Scott's family and all who loved him." In his obituary, the Tracy family noted his career achievements and the pride he took in his work and treatment of others. "His career took him across the country, where he worked at Blood-Horse Publications, Angie's List, and as a senior manager of multimedia production at Paylocity," reads the obituary. "True to his high-achieving nature, Scott also had his own multimedia business. Those who worked with him will always remember his genuine and caring approach working with and advocating for others, along with his impeccable dedication to his beloved trade. As a gifted cinematographer he had the incredible opportunity to capture footage at the iconic Triple Crown horse races, as well as create unforgettable moments in the world of film and video." One of Tracy's favorite projects with BloodHorse was telling the story of California Chrome's groom, Raul Rodriguez, ahead of the 2014 Preakness Stakes (G1). View the video here.
