Game Winner Will Shuttle to Brazil

Lane's End stallion and second-crop sire Game Winner will shuttle to Haras Fazenda Mondesir in Brazil for the 2025 and 2026 Southern Hemisphere breeding seasons. Game Winner is a son of top sire Candy Ride (ARG), who was champion in his native Argentina before arriving in the United States. Bred by Summer Wind Equine and out of the A.P. Indy mare Indyan Giving, Game Winner comes from a strong female family that includes grade 1 winners Flagstaff and Fleet Indian. Trained by Bob Baffert for Gary and Mary West, Game Winner captured three consecutive grade 1 races, including the 2018 Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) as a 2-year-old and was crowned the champion 2-year-old male. As a 3-year-old, he won the Los Alamitos Derby (G3) and was runner-up in the Santa Anita Derby (G1) and Rebel Stakes (G2). He retired with earnings of $2,027,500. From his first crop to race, Game Winner produced grade 1 winner Gaming, winner of the 2024 Del Mar Futurity (G1) and runner-up to champion 2-year-old male Citizen Bull in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Gaming returned this year to score in the June 8 Affirmed Stakes at Santa Anita Park. Into 2025, Game Winner has sired 21 winners, including Santa Ysabel Stakes (G3) winner Maysam, Ozark Stakes winner I Got Game, and most recently, impressive Santa Anita maiden special weight winner Sierra Silver. In the sales ring, Game Winner saw yearlings reach $600,000 and 2-year-olds reach $500,000. Game Winner stood the 2025 breeding season at Lane's End near Versailles, Ky., for a fee of $20,000.
