After a very busy week in horse racing covering racing, conferences, ceremonies, and sales, this week focuses on some major stakes at Colonial Downs and Saratoga Race Course, which hosts one Breeders' Cup Challenge Series: Win and You're In qualifier. Colonial Downs in Virginia hosts the marquee racecard of their summer meet Aug. 9, highlighted by the Arlington Million Stakes (G1T), the Secretariat Stakes (G2T), and the Beverly D. Stakes (G2T). The network will also present comprehensive coverage of Del Mar, Ellis Park, Woodbine, Gulfstream Park, and other tracks as per their usual schedule. NYRA's "Saratoga Live" rolls on this month and will showcase a Saturday card at the Spa featuring the Sword Dancer Stakes (G1T), a "Win and You're In" qualifier for the Nov. 1 Breeders' Cup Turf (G1T) at Del Mar. The Sword Dancer, plus other races from Saratoga, will be broadcast nationwide on FOX during a three-hour "Saratoga Saturdays" show.
