Canterbury Park Receives Three-Year HISA Accreditation

Canterbury Park received a three-year accreditation from the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority Board of Directors following an onsite HISA Accreditation Team visit. HISA is tasked with implementing a national, uniform set of integrity and safety rules applied consistently to every Thoroughbred racing participant and racetrack facility. "Canterbury's Full Accreditation status is a testament to our culture of putting the safety of our horses and horse people first," Canterbury Park Senior Manager of Racing Operations Amber Carlisle said. "We're blessed to have great cooperation and coordination throughout Canterbury Park, including our racing, track surfaces and security teams, along with the MRC Veterinarians Office and the Minnesota HBPA. Everyone involved deserves a lot of credit for Canterbury Park being recognized by HISA as a fully-compliant racetrack." HISA rules and regulations are designed to enhance the safety and well-being of both horse and rider while ensuring the integrity of the sport for the benefit of the industry, fans and bettors. "Canterbury Park has established itself as a model racetrack in full compliance with all of our rules. I congratulate them on the accreditation," Lisa Lazarus, HISA Chief Executive Officer, said. Canterbury's accreditation period runs through Aug. 13, 2028.
