Fasig-Tipton Catalogs 280 for Saratoga Fall Mixed Sale
Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 280 entries for its Saratoga Fall Mixed sale, to be held Oct. 14 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The sale will be conducted in the Humphrey S. Finney Pavilion and begin at 10 a.m. "Saratoga Fall is New York's breeding stock sale," said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning Jr. "There are nearly 230 weanlings cataloged, by top sires both nationally and within New York. There is also a quality group of broodmares in foal on attractive covers." Beginning in 2026, New York-breds will race for equal purse money as open company horses on the New York Racing Association circuit. "With purse parity beginning next year, the New York-bred program will go from strength to strength," noted Browning. "New York-bred weanlings offered at Saratoga Fall will be eligible to compete for these higher purses when they reach the track as 2-year-olds. The same applies to foals carried by mares cataloged in this sale. Now is the time to get involved in New Yorkâthe future is bright." The catalog may now be viewed online and will also be available via the Equineline sales catalog app. Print catalog will be available by Sept. 18. Last year's sale sold 148 horses that included 186 weanlings and 63 broodmares for a gross of $3,920,500 and an average of $26,490.
