Roberts, RTIP to Offer Streaming of Upcoming Symposium

The University of Arizona's Race Track Industry Program Global Symposium on Racing Dec. 8-10 promises to be the industry's largest racing conference of the year. For those unable to attend this year's symposium in person, it will be streamed online to allow an even larger audience to watch the main panel sessions scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday. Roberts Communications Network will make the stream available on the Racetrack Television Network, with all proceeds from the sales going to RTIP. "Year after year, the Global Symposium on Racing brings together the entire racing community to discuss the most important topics in our industry, and we are very excited to deliver it on an international scale," said RCN and RTN president and CEO Todd Roberts. "All of the money generated by the sales will go back to the RTIP program to help support all of the great work they do for the industry." The agenda for this year's symposium includes panels on wide ranging topics, including updates on HISA, a discussion on how to balance computer-assisted wagering growth with racing's long-term health, a look at the exciting new racetrack construction projects in major markets, a conversation with Hall of Fame jockeys Steve Cauthen, Ramon Dominguez, Chris McCarron, and Laffit Pincay Jr., an examination on innovative approaches to boosting United States Thoroughbred breeding, an unfiltered discussion with Mike Repole, and much more. "We are very excited to once again stream the symposium through our RCN and RTN partnership," said RTIP chair Robert Hartman. "With 50 years of symposia in the books, we continue to see growth in our international audience and understand that travel may not be possible for some. We feel it is crucial to make these important panel sessions available to everyone. We are very appreciative of RCN's help and especially their generosity in donating all the proceeds back to the program." The live streaming package, which also includes archived sessions of each panel, is available for a $149 purchase on the RTN.tv website, enabling people to watch on tablets, smartphones, and PCs, and on televisions through Roku devices and Amazon Fire TV.
