First Foal a Colt for Grade 1 Winner Senor Buscador

Grade 1 winner Senor Buscador’s first foal arrived at Shawhan Place, the very same farm where he was born. The colt, bred by the team that raised Senor Buscador, is out of the Medaglia d’Oro mare Oriole, who is out of the multiple stakes winner Free as a Bird by Hard Spun. “To say that I’m excited to have the first Senor Buscador foal would be an understatement,” said Shawhan Place’s director of sales, Courtney Schneider. “It’s really a full circle moment for all of us here at Shawhan Place. We foaled and raised Senor Buscador, as well as all of his siblings, here. This colt has a great hip and shoulder, just like his sire. He is tenacious with a positive attitude and a good mind. We are expecting several more Senor Buscador foals this spring, and we are anxiously awaiting their arrival.” Senor Buscador, bred by Joe R. Peacock Sr. and Joe R. Peacock Jr., broke his maiden at first asking at 2. He finished off his undefeated 2-year-old season with a commanding win in the Springboard Mile Stakes, earning a 93 Beyer Speed Figure. A win in the 2024 Saudi Cup (G1) was the pinnacle of his illustrious career, with seven wins in 23 starts and earnings just shy of $13 million. Senor Buscador is out of the multiple stakes winner Rose’s Desert, who has produced five stakes winners, including grade 2 winner Runaway Ghost. Senor Buscador stands at Lane's End near Versailles, Ky., for an advertised fee of $7,500.
