Tigrado First Winner for WinStar Farm's Nashville

Mana Racing's Tigrado became the first winner for WinStar Farm freshman sire Nashville in registering a 5-length victory in a 5-furlong maiden race May 7 at Horseshoe Indianapolis. Making his third start after running third at Keeneland and fourth at Churchill Downs in a pair of outings last month, Tigrado delivered a professional performance. He stalked the pace in third early while three wide, took over in midstretch, and powered away late for a resounding victory. Ridden by Evin Roman, the Michel Douaihy trainee was timed in 1:00.55 for the distance on a fast track. The bay juvenile colt, bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm, is out of the Tiznow mare Dancensing. Nashville, campaigned by CHC and WinStar Farm and trained by Hall of Famer Steve Asmussen, won his first three starts as a 3-year-old, including the 2020 Perryville Stakes at Keeneland where he zipped 6 furlongs in a track record 1:07.89. He then closed out his 2020 campaign with a fourth-place finish in the Malibu Stakes (G1) at Santa Anita Park. Nashville went on to notch one more victory in four other starts, winning a 6-furlong allowance optional claiming race in 2022 at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots with 6 furlongs in 1:08.61. He was retired to stud with a 4-1-0 record in eight starts with earnings of $233,350. He stands this year for $12,500.
