Golden Horde Added to Aktem's Stallion Online Sale

Golden Horde (IRE), winner of the 2020 Commonwealth Cup Stakes (G1), has been added to the catalog for Aktem's Stallion Online Sale, which will take place online Sept. 25. The son of Lethal Force (IRE), who stands at Sumbe, has made an encouraging start at stud, siring 31 winners from his first two crops, including listed winner Rabbit's Foot (FR) and five stakes performers. With an overall record of 3-1-3 in 10 starts and more than $500,000 in earnings, Golden Horde reached the pinnacle of his racing career as a 3-year-old when he landed the Commonwealth Cup Stakes during the Royal Ascot meet in 2020. He also finished third in a pair of group 1 races that year: the July Cup Stakes (G1) and the Sprint Cup Stakes (G1). As a 2-year-old, he won the Richmond Stakes (G2), followed by consecutive placings in the Prix Morny (G1) and Middle Park Stakes (G1). Golden Horde is a half brother to dual group 1 winner and Coolmore stallion Camille Pissarro (IRE) and descends from the family of champion racemare Serena's Song. He will be offered alongside Taj Mahal (IRE) and Van Beethoven, who were added to the sale earlier in the week. Aktem said further stallions, stallion prospects, stallion shares, and breeding rights will be announced for the Sept. 25 sale over the coming weeks.
