F-T Flash Sale Offers 50% Interest in Silent Tactic

Bidding opened Aug. 10 for the Fasig-Tipton Digital Silent Tactic Flash Sale, offering a 50% ownership interest in graded stakes-winning 3-year-old colt Silent Tactic. Bidding will close Aug. 14. at 12 p.m. ET. Justin Casse, agent for John Oxley, consigns the son of Tacitus. Trained by Hall of Famer Mark Casse, Silent Tactic recorded a career-high Beyer Speed Figure of 94 in his most recent start, the Jim Dandy Stakes (G2) Aug. 1 at Saratoga Race Course. Making his first start since finishing second in the Arkansas Derby (G1), the colt pressed the pace before finishing third, beaten 2 1/2 lengths, going 1 1/8 miles. The effort pushed his career earnings past $1.1 million. Silent Tactic has never finished out of the money in seven career starts. At 2, he won his debut going 1 1/16 miles over the all-weather surface at Woodbine. He followed that up with a second-place finish in the Grey Stakes (G3), where he was beaten less than a length. Moving to Oaklawn Park for his 3-year-old campaign, Silent Tactic finished second in the Smarty Jones Stakes Jan. 3, followed by a dominant 3 1/4-length victory in the Southwest Stakes (G3) from well off the pace a month later. He next finished second in the Rebel Stakes (G2), closing strongly to be beaten a nose before his runner-up finish in the Arkansas Derby. Silent Tactic exited the Jim Dandy in good order and is now targeting the Travers Stakes (G1) at Saratoga Aug. 29. He is stabled at Saratoga Race Course and is available for inspection by appointment. "His prospective buyer not only has a ticket to the Travers Stakes, but several other exciting races down the road, including the Breeders' Cup Classic, Pegasus World Cup, Saudi Cup, and Dubai World Cup. These opportunities do not come along very often." Silent Tactic was bred in Kentucky by the prominent Don Alberto Corporation and is the first foal out of the Gun Runner mare Magical Sign. Justin Casse purchased the colt as a 2-year-old for $500,000 at the 2025 Ocala Breeders' Sales Spring 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale from the Thorostock consignment.
