Diva Express Offered at Inglis Early October Sale
Diva Express (Lot 261), a dead-heat winner of the 2016 Winning Colors Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs is offered with a colt by Storm Boy (AUS) (Justify) as part of the breeding stock component at the Inglis Digital Australia October (Early) Online Sale. That section also includes Bechuille (Lot 254), a sister to group 1 winner Sweet Idea (AUS), offered with a Hawaii Five Oh (AUS) colt at foot. The sale comprises 263 lots, including 134 racehorses, including 72 fillies, 74 racehorse shares, 36 broodmares, 12 yearlings, six unraced horses, and a stallion share. A 1% share in The Everest (G1)-bound sprinter Ninja (AUS)(Lot 153) shapes as one of the headline racehorse offerings, providing buyers with an immediate opportunity to secure an interest in a runner in the AU$20 million feature. The Michael Freedman-trained 4-year-old has won five of his 10 starts, including three at the group level, and has already secured a berth in The Everest Oct. 17 at Randwick Racecourse through the John Camilleri-owned Fairway Thoroughbreds slot. Ninja's five victories include the Missile Stakes (G2), Hobartville Stakes (G2), and Vo Rogue Plate (G3). Another high-profile racing prospect is Maluka Thoroughbred graduate Oh Diamond Lil (AUS)(Lot 96), who is being offered as a racing and breeding proposition. The David Pfieffer-trained mare has won seven of her 22 starts and more than AU$660,000, headed by victory in last year's Tibbie Stakes (G3). The final countdown of bidding begins from 10 a.m. local time Oct. 7.
