Liam's Map's Fee at $80k, Flightline to be Determined
The 2027 stud fee for Lane's End's marquee freshman sire Flightline is yet to be determined as the rest of the season plays out for his first crop of runners, so in the meantime Quality Road holds the top spot at $100,000 on the farm's roster, which was released Oct. 12. Flightline, a son of Tapit, stood for $125,000 last year. To date, he is a top five freshman sire by progeny earnings and is one of 10 freshman sires to be represented by a graded stakes winner. Japanese grade 3 winner Shonan Galleon (JPN) is Flightline's top runner among his two black-type winners as of Oct. 12. Liam's Map, siring at least three grade 1 winners for the second consecutive year, has had his advertised fee raised to $80,000. The Unbridled's Song half brother to current leading sire Not This Time has been represented by Preakness Stakes (G1) winner Napoleon Solo, Arlington Million Stakes (G1T) winner Burnham Square, and multiple grade 1 winner Deterministic, who will join the farm's roster next year. "2026 has been a productive year for the Lane's End roster with Liam's Map having three grade 1 winners for a second year in a row, including a classic winner. In addition, City of Light and Honor A. P. added new grade 1 winners to their résumés, and Flightline got off to a great start with his first-crop of runners. With four-time grade 1 winner Deterministic joining the roster in 2027, we are looking forward to more exciting results for the Lane's End stallions," said Bill Farish with Lane's End. Quality Road ranks as the co-sixth-leading North American general sire by number of year-to-date graded stakes winners with six, alongside Curlin, Vekoma, Tiz the Law, and the late Uncle Mo. Deterministic punched his ticked to the Breeders' Cup Mile (G1T) after capturing the Fourstardave Stakes (G1T), a Breeders' Cup Challenge: Win and You're In event. The Fourstardave was the 5-year-old horse's second grade 1 victory for the year, following a win in the Manhattan Stakes (G1T). He won these same two races in 2025.
