Mindframe Leads Claiborne 2027 Roster

Claiborne Farm announced Oct. 13 the advertised stud fees for its 2027 stallion roster with multiple grade 1 winner Mindframe at the top at $40,000. The son of classic sire Constitution was one of North America's most popular stallions during his debut season in 2026, covering 187 mares, which set a new Claiborne record. A versatile top-level competitor with a quartet of triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures to his credit, Mindframe beat the best in his division as both a sprinter and a router during his 2025 campaign. That included a determined victory in the 7-furlong Churchill Downs Stakes (G1) where all 10 of his rivals were either graded stakes winners or grade 1-placed, including Eclipse Award champion sprinter Book'em Danno and Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) winner Nysos. Mindframe then took the Stephen Foster Stakes (G1) over a field that featured Eclipse champion Sierra Leone, Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Mystik Dan, and Dubai World Cup (G1) winner Hit Show. That win expanded Mindframe's credentials as a router that he established at 3, when he finished second by a half-length in the Belmont Stakes (G1) in his third career start. Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) winner Blame continues to be one of the best values in the stud book for breeders looking for success on the track or with their broodmare band, standing for $25,000. The son of Arch continued to send runners to the highest levels in 2026, including Explora, winner of the Test Stakes (G1), and a contender for this year's Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1). Blame's legend also continues to grow as a broodmare sire, led in 2026 by Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner So Happy, Jaipur Stakes (G1T) winner Reef Runner, grade 2 winner And One More Time, and Classic-placed Iron Honor. Grade 1 winner Prince of Monaco will stand his third season for $15,000. A fast 2-year-old by prominent sire-of-sires Speightstown, Prince of Monaco will be represented by his first crop of weanlings at this year's fall mixed sales. He received a high-quality book of mares during his debut season at stud, including 44 black-type runners, and that has been conveyed in his auction performance as a covering sire. Annapolis, who won the Turf Mile Stakes (G1T) at Keeneland in a stakes-record time, will be represented by his first 2-year-olds in 2027. The son of cornerstone Claiborne sire War Front will stand for $10,000. Johannes, a grade 1-winning millionaire son of Nyquist, will stand for $10,000. A six-time graded winner and a six-time earner of triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures, Johannes received early accolades at stud as a member of the Paulick Report's 2025-26 All-Value Sire Team. Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) winner Bright Future will also be represented by his first weanlings at this year's November sales. Bright Future hails from a proven pedigree as a son of the mighty Curlin and a half-brother to two other graded stakes winners. He will stand for $2,500. The farm's Silver State, a 9-year-old son of Hard Spun, has been retired from breeding.
