Filly Ada Clare Caps F-T October Digital Sale

Fasig-Tipton's October Digital Sale closed Oct. 14 with gross sales of $6,729,000 for 287 horses sold. "The October Digital Sale was a tremendous success, delivering stronger numbers than last year and vibrant market activity across all market segments," said Leif Aaron, Fasig-Tipton director of digital sales. "Gross sales increased 34%, the average price increased 14%, and the median increased 28% over 2025. "Once again, professional consignors led the way. Horses sold through professional consignors brought 25% more on average, highlighting the value they bring through their understanding of market conditions, expert presentation, broader buyer reach, and established relationships within purchasing circles." Ada Clare (Hip 39), a 3-year-old filly by Quality Road, sold for $500,000 to DG Stables to top the sale. She was offered as a racing/broodmare prospect by X-Men Racing. A stakes-placed multiple winner with earnings of $162,241 to date, Ada Clare is also a half sister to recent Breeders' Futurity (G1) winner American History. "We raced Ada Clare, so it made sense for us to sell her, as we had direct contact with her," said Donato Lanni on behalf of X-Men Racing. "I've never sold a sales topper before! Fasig-Tipton Digital is a proven, well-developed system. It's a transparent process and Fasig-Tipton has a strong track record, so it just felt natural to sell online with them." Hadrian's Wall (Hip 13), a horse of racing age, sold for $300,000 to NRCLUB as the sale's second-highest price. The 3-year-old son of Curlin, out of 2020 Adirondack Stakes (G2) winner Thoughtfully, was offered by ELiTE, agent. Hadrian's Wall is placed at 2 and 3 and has earned $100,000 to date. Sobhy Sonbol went to $240,000 to secure the sale's top broodmare Hillerito (Hip 257), offered in foal to Maxfield by Ballysax Bloodstock, agent. The stakes-winning mare was offered carrying her first foal. Hillerito hails from the immediate family of 1997's champion 2-year-old filly Countess Diana. CRC Racing purchased racing/broodmare prospect Lee's Baby Girl (Hip 23) for $220,000 from the consignment of Carla Gaines, agent. A 4-year-old daughter of Malibu Moon, Lee's Baby Girl is a three-time winner and was graded stakes placed in the John C. Harris Stakes (G3T) last year. She has earned $211,980 to date. Beautiful Blome (Hip 2), sold for $150,000 to Caroline and Greg Bentley from the consignment of Evergreen Equine, agent. Offered as a racing/broodmare prospect, the 4-year-old filly was a stakes winner as a juvenile and sold off a victory in her most recent start Sept. 11. A seven-time winner, Beautiful Blome has earned $329,710 to date. The average price was $23,449 and the median was $10,000. The next digital sale is the December Digital Sale, to be held Dec. 3-8. Entries close Nov. 18. "As we look ahead to the December Digital Sale, I strongly encourage sellers to use a professional consignor," Aaron noted. "The results speak for themselves. A small commission can deliver an average sales price of 25% more. That's a difference worth considering when it comes to maximizing your horse's value."
