Breeders' Cup Day 2: Latest Conditions, Scratches

Near-perfect fall Kentucky weather will greet racegoers arriving at Keeneland for the second day of the Breeders' Cup. Skies are mostly cloudy—but that can be a pleasant thing at Keeneland on a warm day, as the view toward the racetrack from the grandstand faces the afternoon sun on a clear day. The high temperature is expected to reach 73 degrees. Fast and firm conditions. First post is 11:15 a.m. ET. Here are scratches for the card, as of 9 a.m. Forged Steel and Thought Process are two of the latest high-profile withdrawals amid tight veterinary scrutiny.
