Ways and Means Romps in BC Filly and Mare Sprint

Taking command in early stretch after stalking the pace, Klaravich Stables' Ways and Means romped by 6 1/4 lengths in the $1 million Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) Oct. 31 at Keeneland. Foie Gras rallied for second, and Explora showed. The winner, a 5-year-old homebred daughter of Practical Joke, raced 7 furlongs in 1:21.76. She paid $4.14 for a $2 win wager. Ways and Means is scheduled to sell during The November Sale at Fasig-Tipton Nov. 2. This story will be updated.
