Tourist , a grade 1 winning son of Tiznow who earned $2,170,340 and holds the record for running the fastest Breeders' Cup Mile (G1T) in 2016, is being relocated to Rockridge Stud near Hudson, N.Y., for the 2023 season. He will stand for $3,500 next year.

"He was getting overlooked in Kentucky, and some of the partners felt the move to New York would maximize his income potential with New York stallion awards," said Rockridge Stud's Lere Visagie. "The partners who are staying in on the stallion are planning to buy mares to give him a strong start in New York."

Tourist, a top 15 third-crop sire of 2022, entered stud at WinStar Farm. He is out of the Unbridled's Song winner Unbridled Melody, making him a half brother to stakes winners Harlan's Harmony, Michael With Us, and Mountain Man Music.

As a stallion, Tourist has sired four black-type winners and 11 other black-type performers, including Carpenters Call, who won this year's Peach Street Stakes and placed in the Kitten's Joy Appleton Stakes (G3T), and I Can Run, who won the Eleven North Handicap at Monmouth Park. Most recently, juvenile Mo Tourist placed in the Grey Stakes (G3) at Woodbine Nov. 26.

Tourist's chief earner is Tango Tango Tango, who won the American Derby and was runner-up in the 2021 Bruce D. Stakes (G1T) and Dinner Party Stakes (G2T).
