Reigning 2-year-old champion male and recent Florida Derby (G1) winner Fierceness is favored in early wagering for the May 4 Kentucky Derby (G1).

As of 7 p.m. ET May 3, he was at 3-1 odds, followed by Sierra Leone at 9-2, Forever Young at 7-1, and Catching Freedom at 8-1. All other horses are 10-1 or higher—with T O Password and Society Man co-longest shots at 51-1.

Early wagering through Kentucky Oaks day represents just a small portion of the total dollars that will be bet on the Kentucky Derby. Most wagers will be placed Saturday.

Courtesy of Twin Spires, full Derby odds are available online at the bottom of the BloodHorse website home page at bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/. You'll be able to check them out throughout the day Saturday as they change.

A daily double linking the Kentucky Oaks (G1) and Kentucky Derby is often reflective of the horses the public fancies. The following combinations with victorious Thorpedo Anna will pay the following for a $1 wager:

1. Dornoch — $233.07
2. Sierra Leone — $25.99
3. Mystik Dan — $118.43
4. Catching Freedom — $51.47
5. Catalytic — $447.33
6. Just Steel — $195.01
7. Honor Marie — $92.47
8. Just a Touch — $69.63
10. T O Password — $433.24
11. Forever Young — $58.29
12. Track Phantom — $324.95
13. West Saratoga — $668.15
14. Endlessly — $307.34
15. Domestic Product — $136.63
16. Grand Mo the First — $820.11
17. Fierceness — $16.68
18. Stronghold — $174.41
19. Resilience — $163.45
20. Society Man — $663.40
21. Epic Ride — $629.79

The favorites in the double mirror the current favorites in the win pool. Grand Mo the First is the longest shot in the double wager compared to the third-longest shot in the win pools. T O Password, co-longest shot in the win pools, found himself ahead of five other horses in the double pool, signaling he may take more money in the win pool Saturday.
