The catalog for the fourth edition of the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale is now online. A two-day sale for the first time, the catalog features 465 yearlings to be offered for sale Sept. 2-3 at Park Paddocks in Newmarket.

Graduates of the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale have been lighting up racecourses in recent times with 28 individual group/listed performers in 2023-24. Leading the way is Anisette, the triple grade 1 winner of the Gamely Stakes (G1T), American Oaks (G1T), and Del Mar Oaks (G1T). The 26,000 guineas purchase at the 2021 Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale joins 12,000 guineas buy Bradsell, winner of the group 1 Kings Stand Stakes (G1), as top-level winning graduates. They are joined by the exciting Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes (G2) winner Arabian Dusk, bought for 80,000 guineas at last year's sale before going on to fetch 525,000 guineas at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale.

The catalog for this year's two-day Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale is brimming with quality, with full or half brothers and sisters to 77 group and listed performers, and 66 yearlings out of group/listed performing mares.

Among the highlights is the Earthlight, half sister to Natalma Stakes (G1T) winner La Pelosa. She will be joined by the Inns of Court half brother to last weekend's Sapphire Stakes (G2) winner Believing, and the Dandy Man half brother to Royal Ascot's Windsor Castle Stakes winner Ain't Nobody, alongside the Starman half sister to Palace House Stakes (G3) winner Seven Questions.

Tally-Ho Stud's first season sire Starman leads the way numerically with 23 lots cataloged, followed by Overbury Stud's Ardad with 22 lots, and then Rathbarry Stud's Kodi Bear who will be represented by 21 yearlings.

The largest consignment of yearlings will come from Tally-Ho Stud with 21 lots cataloged, followed by Barton Stud with a 19-strong draft, whilst last year's sale-topping consignor Whitsbury Manor Stud will offer a draft of 11 lots.

All yearlings cataloged in the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale are eligible for the £100,000 Tattersalls Somerville Auction Stakes as well as the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes, held five weeks later and in 2025 to be run over seven furlongs for the first time.

"The Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale has quickly established itself as a leading source of top-class racehorses with group 1 winners Anisette and Bradsell leading the way alongside recent group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes winner Arabian Dusk," Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said. "Ultimately the decision to expand the sale to two days was a straightforward one with the unprecedented demand for places reflecting not only the strength of the first three Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sales, but also the outstanding racecourse successes. In terms of quality, we are confident that the sale has taken another step forward and Europe's most progressive yearling sale yet again looks set to attract a wide cross-section of domestic and international buyers."
