With heavy rain associated with Tropical Storm Debby forecast to impact racing at Saratoga Race Course Aug 9-10, the New York Racing Association will add the Aug. 10 $500,000 Fourstardave Handicap (G1T) and $600,000 Saratoga Derby Invitational Stakes (G1T) as contingency races for Aug. 11.
Should weather force races off the turf Saturday, NYRA will aim to run the Fourstardave and Saratoga Derby as the final two races Sunday. To allow for increased flexibility, those races will fall outside of all horizontal wagers.
NYRA is monitoring weather forecasts closely and will provide updates as necessary.
