Hot Girl Walk pulled away down the stretch to win the Generous Portion Stakes at Del Mar Sept. 2, giving Pleasant Acres' grade 1-winning freshman sire Bodexpress his first black-type stakes winner.
Stalking the early leaders, Richard Barton's homebred filly made her move at the three-eighths pole. She hit wire 1 1/4 lengths ahead of In the Air Tonight and stopped the timer in 1:11.28. Hot Girl Walk is trained by Carla Gaines.
Barton, who started Bodexpress' sire career at his Barton Thoroughbreds farm in California, bred Hot Girl Walk who is out of the Awesome Again winner Awesome Mama, who is out of stakes winner and stakes producer Mama Nadine (A.P. Indy). Hot Girl Walk has now won two of three career starts and earned $117,000.
