Mike Parker's debut winner Runaway Goddess became the first winner for her sire Runaway Ghost, a freshman stallion standing at Double LL Farm, and her dam Mountain Goddess Sept. 5 at the Downs at Albuquerque.

The bay filly bred in New Mexico by Mike Abraham won a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight in near gate-to-wire fashion by 4 3/4 lengths as the even-money favorite. She is trained by Carlos Sedillo and was ridden by Alfredo Juarez Jr. Double LL consigned the filly at the 2023 Ruidoso New Mexico-Bred Yearling Sale where Parker bought her for $6,200. Runaway Goddess' maiden win was worth $16,200.

Mountain Goddess is a winning daughter of Dominus and has produced four foals. She has a yearling full sister to Runaway Goddess and produced a full brother in February. The immediate family hails from Irish breeding that produced group 1 winners Mister Majestic and Homme de Loi. Abraham raced Mountain Goddess, getting three wins out of nine career starts with her.

Runaway Ghost, a son of Ghostzapper , was bred and raced by Joe Peacock Sr. As a racehorse, he won six black-type stakes, including the 2018 Sunland Derby (G3) and 2019 Sunland Park Handicap. He retired with an 8-3-0 record from 15 starts and earned $783,509.

Runaway Ghost stood this year at Double LL Farm in New Mexico for $2,500.
