Uptowncharlybrown Stud is proud to announce Pennsylvania's leading active stallion, Uptowncharlybrown , who in 2023 set Pennsylvania's record for combined stallion and breeder awards in a single season at $868,885, is relocating along with Eastwood , the son of Speightstown , to Mountain Springs Farm in Palmyra, Pa. No stud fees were announced.
Uptowncharlybrown was only the second stallion in Pennsylvania history to eclipse the $200,000 mark in stallion awards in 2023, earning $236,389 when joining Jump Start. He is poised once again in 2024 to eclipse the $200,000 barrier and be Pennsylvania's leader in stallion awards as he leads all other Pennsylvania stallions by a wide margin.
Both Uptowncharlybrown, a 17-year-old son of Limehouse, and Eastwood stood this past season at Blackstone Farm in Pine Grove, Pa. Uptowncharlybrown's fee was $2,500, while Eastwood's fee was $2,000 with an incentive to receive a complimentary 2024 or 2025 season.
Eastwood compiled a 4-for-12 overall record on the racetrack with earnings of $265,545. One of his highlights was a runner-up finish in the Los Angeles Stakes (G3) at Santa Anita. In 2023, he was Pennsylvania's leading stallion in average earnings at $44,623, black type horses at 27.3%, and winners to starters at 82%. For 2025, he has a solid crop of 30 precocious 2-year-olds.
Mountain Springs Farm continues to deepen as it was announced Oct. 15 that Enticed was relocating there from Kentucky to join its other stallions.
