Hill 'n' Dale Farms announced Jan. 30 the birth of Loggins ' first reported foal, a colt out of the multiple stakes-winning mare My Heart Goes On. The bay colt was born Jan. 23 at Endeavor Farm near Midway, Ky.
"He's a really nice and handsome colt with a great frame and build to him. We couldn't be more pleased," said Laura Haag of Endeavor Farm. The colt was bred by Coal Creek Farm.
My Heart Goes On, by Albertus Maximus, is out of a half sister to graded-placed stakes winner Dedicated to You (Purim), stakes winner Una Palabra (McCraken), and three other stakes performers.
Trained by Brad Cox, Loggins gained early attention with an eye-catching 8 1/2-length victory on debut traveling 6 1/2 furlongs at Churchill Downs. Three weeks later, the son of Ghostzapper stretched out to 1 1/16 miles against top company in the 2022 Breeders' Futurity (G1) at Keeneland, where he finished second by a neck after a tough battle with eventual Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) winner and Eclipse champion 2-year-old male Forte .
A $460,000 purchase at the Fasig-Tipton's The Saratoga Sale in 2021, Loggins raced for a large partnership that featured Spendthrift Farm, Steve Landers Racing, Martin Schwartz, Michael Dubb, Ten Strike Racing, Jim Bakke, Titletown Racing Stables, Kueber Racing, Big Easy Racing, and Winners Win.
Loggins stands the 2025 season at Hill 'n' Dale for a fee of $7,500.
