A draft of seven lots from the Aga Khan Studs, withdrawn from the Goffs February Sale following the recent passing of His Highness The Aga Khan, will be offered Feb. 12 in an online sale on Goffs.com.
The two horses in training are Habari (Lot 23), a 3-year-old gelding by Churchill who finished an eye-catching fourth on his most recent start over a mile at Dundalk, and Karazhal (Lot 25), a Profitable gelding who won last year at 2 and finished third in his latest start.
The breeding stock includes a 4-year-old Siyouni filly, Alyouna (Lot 286), a granddaughter of dual group 3 winner-Alanza; 2-year-old winner and listed-stakes fourth Kayhana (Lot 336), a daughter of Harzand; the unraced Lilya (Lot 341), by Siyouni and from the family of Flatten The Curve; Teofilo filly Muzina (Lot 352), who hails from the family of Australian group 1-scorer Mourayan; and Sulaiyma (Lot 381), a Kingman half sister to group 3-winner Sumiha and from the family of Sinndar.
Goffs Group chief executive Henry Beeby said: "It is always a privilege to offer His Highness's beautiful horses at Goffs, but this sale will be especially poignant given the circumstances. As usual the seven make up a very appealing draft and present the chance to buy into some of the iconic pedigrees he nurtured over so many years."
The sale will be held as a timed online auction with bidding open from noon-2 p.m. (local time). Pedigrees, photos, and videos of each lot can be viewed here.
Prospective buyers must register to bid by 5 p.m. Feb. 11.
