The Horse Racing Women's Association (HRWA) is thrilled to announce, with the support of FanDuel TV returning as a title sponsor, its full schedule of events for 2025. The fourth annual HRWA Conference, previously known as the Summit, will take place for the first time in Lexington, Kentucky, on October 8-9. The event will be hosted at the beautiful Limestone Hall, located in the historic remodeled courthouse downtown.
"The HRWA Conference has been a valuable opportunity for learning and networking," said Rebecca Somerville, Senior Director of Racing Production at FanDuel TV. "But most importantly, the HRWA supports and empowers one another to drive meaningful growth in the horse racing industry."
Moving the marquee event to Lexington, Kentucky is a significant step for HRWA that reflects a commitment to bring many together for an inspiring conference.
"The 2025 HRWA events and conference are planned with great intention to engage, elevate, and invest in the women (and men) of our great sport as we strive to make constructive impact within our community," said Stephanie Hronis, HRWA Executive Committee Chair. "Our collective goal is to cultivate opportunities that increase business connections, build and expand networks, and provide opportunities for professional and personal development that will ultimately benefit the workplace."
In addition to the two-day conference in October, the HRWA will host several regional events across the country.
"Our regional on-track events offer a more casual experience for attendees," noted Shona Rotondo, HRWA Marketing Chair. "The goal of these meet-ups is to connect women in the local racing community and encourage them to invest in themselves for a day. This includes taking the time to network, develop new skills, and support other women in the community. We hope that attendees will connect here and feel inspired to join us in Kentucky this fall, where we'll all roll up our sleeves and put in some work."
The 2025 HRWA Schedule of Events is as follows:
June 27 - Day at the races: Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Canada
October 8-9 - HRWA Conference at Limestone Hall in Lexington, Kentucky
October 30 - Day at the races: Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in Del Mar, California
"We're excited to bring the main conference to Lexington this year while expanding meetups at Gulfstream Park, Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, and internationally at Woodbine Racecourse--continually striving to expand the reach and impact," said Jodie Vella-Gregory, Chair of the HRWA Event Logistics Committee.
The theme for the 2025 HRWA conference in October is "Racing Ahead: Empowering Women Through Connection And Collaboration," with programming, speakers, and panel topics to be announced in the coming months.
Tickets are on sale for HRWA meet-ups at Woodbine and Del Mar via Eventbrite, and all HRWA members have access to discounted pricing. Tickets for the HRWA conference in Kentucky will be launched in the coming weeks.
