The New York Racing Association announced April 11 the addition of a day of live racing April 23 as part of the spring meet at Aqueduct Racetrack.
Following the cancellation of live racing March 30 due unacceptable noise levels created by the March Madness Auto and Bike Show, an event being held at the neighboring Resorts World Casino, NYRA, the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association, and New York Thoroughbred Breeders requested and have received formal approval from the New York State Gaming Commission to conduct live racing April 23 at Aqueduct.
The Aqueduct spring meet, which features 13 stakes worth $2.8 million in total purses, continues through April 27.
America's Day at the Races will present live coverage and analysis of the Aqueduct spring meet on the networks of FOX Sports.
