Firenze Fire, a grade 1 winner in the United States standing in Japan, saw his first winner as a sire when Porta Romana won a May 27 race at Mombetsu Racecourse in Hokkaido.

The 2-year-old filly was produced by Screen Debut, a daughter of Screen Hero.

A 10-year-old son of Poseidon's Warrior , Firenze Fire stands at Arrow Stud in Japan where he began his stud career in 2022.

Ron Lombardi, Firenze Fire's owner/breeder who raced under the banner Mr. Amore Stable, sold the two-time millionaire to Arrow Stud following the horse's eighth-place finish in the 2021 Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) at Del Mar.

Firenze Fire won his 2-year-old debut at Monmouth Park in 2017 for trainer Jason Servis, who saddled him to victory that year in the Champagne Stakes (G1). He would win multiple graded stakes for Servis. Kelly Breen took over training in 2020 and sent him out to four more graded stakes wins including back-to-back editions of the True North Stakes (G2) at Belmont Park.

During five seasons on the track, Firenze Fire, a two-time Florida-bred champion, won 13 stakes, nine of them graded. He retired with a record of 14-7-3 from 38 starts for earnings of $2,730,350.

Firenze Fire was infamously known for savaging rival Yaupon  in the 2021 Forego Stakes (G1) at Saratoga Race Course. The incident took place at the sixteenth pole and Yaupon went on to win by a head while Firenze Fire finished second.
