The New York Racing Association announced Aug. 16 the stakes schedule for the 32-day 2025 Belmont at the Big A fall meet and the traditional 27-day fall meet at Aqueduct Racetrack.
The Belmont at the Big A fall meet—conducted at Aqueduct due to ongoing renovations at Belmont Park—offers a total of 45 stakes worth $9.45 million in total purses, and the traditional fall meet at Aqueduct will have 28 stakes, 10 of them graded events, worth $6.025 million. Stakes purses are down for the Belmont at the Big A fall meet and up for the Aqueduct fall meet.
The Belmont at the Big A fall meet will begin on Thursday, Sept. 11, and run through Sunday, Nov. 2, including four grade 1s and five Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" qualifiers.
Highlight days of racing include the Sept. 27 card, which features five graded events, including the first top-tier stakes flat race of the meet in the $500,000 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic (G1T) at 1 1/2 miles on turf.
Other top racing action takes place in early October, and the final graded stakes race of the Belmont at the Big A meet takes place on closing day, Nov. 2.
