The son of Smart Strike's fee rose from $175,000 in 2022 after he saw continued success this year with grade 1 winners Malathaat, Cody's Wish , Nest, Clairiere, and Obligatory.
The leading sire has recorded seven champions and 49 graded black type winners in 13 crops, with over $119 million in earnings. In the sales arena for 2022, his yearlings have commanded gross receipts of $29,250,000 at an average price of $513,158. His juveniles through the sales ring saw similar results selling at an average price of $435,782 and gross figures of $4,357,824.
Ghostzapper, by Awesome Again, saw continued success in 2022 with grade 1 winner Goodnight Olive winning the Ballerina Handicap (G1), grade 2 winner Fearless, and stakes winners Kentucky Ghost, Our Flash Drive, Zia Zapper, Zestful, Visitant , and Moira. His fee will remain unchanged from 2022 at $75,000.
The dual grade 1-winning, $4 million-earning son of Speightstown, Charlatan , will stand his second year at stud for $50,000.
The classic son of Distorted Humor, Maclean's Music saw his grade 1-winning son Jackie's Warrior capture the Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap (G1) and Churchill Downs Stakes Presented by Ford (G1) in 2022. His 2023 fee of $50,000 remains unchanged from 2022.
Violence , by Medaglia d'Oro , had a recent grade 1 winner for 2022 in the Claiborne Breeders' Futurity (G1) winner Forte ; the juvenile also captured the Hopeful Stakes (G1) at Saratoga in September. Violence will increase to $40,000 for 2023, up from $25,000 in 2022.
Champion juvenile Good Magic , by Curlin, who stood for $30,000 in 2022, will be announced in the future.
Undefeated racehorse Kantharos , by Lion Heart, will stand for $20,000, unchanged from 2022.
Army Mule 's first crop, 2-year-olds of 2022, saw two stakes winners in Danse Macabre and Hot Little Thing; his fee will be increased to $12,500 next year. Twice Breeders' Cup Champion Midnight Lute, by Real Quiet, will stand for $12,500 for the 2023 breeding season.
Mucho Macho Man will remain unchanged at a fee of $7,500; the son of Macho Uno added grade 3 winner City Man to his résumé of successful progeny, along with stakes winners A Man's Man and Carmelita's Man.
A grade 1 winner on both surfaces, World of Trouble, by Kantharos, has been reduced to $5,000 from $7,500 in 2022, and fellow sire Lost Treasure, by War Front , was lowered to $3,500 from $5,000 in 2022.
