Hill 'n' Dale Farms released its 2023 roster and fees Oct. 19, headlined by two-time Horse of the Year Curlin , who will stand for $225,000. The son of Smart Strike's fee rose from $175,000 in 2022 after he saw continued success this year with grade 1 winners Malathaat, Cody's Wish , Nest, Clairiere, and Obligatory

The leading sire has recorded seven champions and 49 graded black type winners in 13 crops, with over $119 million in earnings. In the sales arena for 2022, his yearlings have commanded gross receipts of $29,250,000 at an average price of $513,158. His juveniles through the sales ring saw similar results selling at an average price of $435,782 and gross figures of $4,357,824.

His fee will remain unchanged from 2022 at $75,000.

The dual grade 1-winning, $4 million-earning son of Speightstown, Charlatan , will stand his second year at stud for $50,000.

The classic son of Distorted Humor, Maclean's Music  saw his grade 1-winning son Jackie's Warrior  capture the Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap (G1) and Churchill Downs Stakes Presented by Ford (G1) in 2022. His 2023 fee of $50,000 remains unchanged from 2022.

Violence , by Medaglia d'Oro , had a recent grade 1 winner for 2022 in the Claiborne Breeders' Futurity (G1) winner Forte ; the juvenile also captured the Hopeful Stakes (G1) at Saratoga in September. Violence will increase to $40,000 for 2023, up from $25,000 in 2022.

Champion juvenile Good Magic , by Curlin, who stood for $30,000 in 2022, will be announced in the future.
