Overwhelming 1-5 morning-line favorite Nysos has been scratched from the March 2 San Felipe Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita Park. FanDuel Racing network reported the news Saturday morning.

Nysos, an undefeated 3-for-3 for Baoma Corp, was exiting a 7 1/2-length victory in the Feb. 3 Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G3) at Santa Anita. He has worked twice since that win, including a five-furlong breeze in 1:00 1/5 Feb. 25.

Bob Baffert, the trainer of Nysos, has indicated the 3-year-old son of Nyquist  would instead wait for the April 6 Santa Anita Derby (G1). Baffert will be represented by Imagination and Wine Me Up in the San Felipe.

With the scratch of Nysos, the field for the $300,000 San Felipe is reduced to four. Scatify and Mc Vay complete the field.
