Gabaldon, a stakes-winning juvenile who earned a global spotlight with an eye-catching runner-up effort at Royal Ascot, has been added to the inaugural Inglis Digital USA July Sale.

The 2-year-old Gone Astray  colt showed impressive speed in the listed Windsor Castle Stakes June 19, leading the 27-horse field by as much as three lengths in the five-furlong race. He continued to hold the advantage into the final furlong and carried on well to finish second to Ain't Nobody.

The Windsor Castle continued what has already been an exciting career for Gabaldon, who clinched his ticket to Royal Ascot in his debut, taking the Royal Palm Juvenile Stakes at Gulfstream Park May 11 by a front-running 1 1/4 lengths.

Jose D'Angelo trains Gabaldon for owner Soldi Stable.

"Gabaldon is everything you look for in a racehorse," said D'Angelo. "He is fast, classy, and loves his job. His precocity and mindset make him one of the best 2-year-olds I have ever had in training. We are excited to see what the future holds for Gabaldon."

Bred in Florida by Carol Ann Reitman, Susan Gannon, and Warren Miller, Gabaldon is out of the Value Plus mare Valuable Miss. His full brother, Valuable Breigh, is a seven-time winner from ages 2 to 4. Suker, a group 1 winner in Argentina, can be found in his extended family.

With high-level turf experience in the United States and Europe, Gabaldon would be a prime candidate for the Tyro Stakes Aug. 3 at Monmouth Park, or the Skidmore Stakes Aug. 16 at Saratoga Race Course with the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1T) as a long-term target.

Entries for the Inglis Digital USA July Sale remain open through July 8. Bidding will open July 12 at 2 p.m. EST, and it will close July 17 at 2 p.m. EST at www.inglisdigitalusa.com.

Australia's William Inglis & Son purchased American auction house Wanamaker's in May and renamed it Inglis Digital USA.
