Graded stakes winner Nadette commanded the top price of $420,000 at the inaugural Fasig-Tipton July Digital Sale. The 5-year-old French-bred daughter of Outstrip, victorious in this year's Wilshire Stakes (G3T) and Beverly D. Preview Stakes, was acquired by Stepaside Farm.

The bidding for the sale, which included a catalog of 194 horses of racing age and breeding stock, opened for bidding July 18 and closed July 23.

Consigned as Hip 39, Nadette was offered as a racing and broodmare prospect by Team Valor International, who campaigned the filly. A listed stakes winner in her native France, Nadette joined the barn of Southern California trainer Neil Drysdale in the fall of 2022. She placed in three stakes, led by a runner-up finish in the 2022 Autumn Miss Stakes (G3T) at Santa Anita Park, before enjoying a breakout season in 2024. Prior to her black-type victories, Nadette was third in the Buena Vista Stakes (G2T) in March.

"Team Valor is very happy with the sale of Nadette," said Barry Irwin, CEO of Team Valor International. "We changed our business model a couple of years ago to be more commercial, so that instead of consuming the product until the end of a horse's racing life, we look to sell them when they still have racing life left in them. With fillies and mares, it is always better to sell for a racing rather than a broodmare value. This worked out well for our partners."

One of two winners produced from the Pivotal mare Ciboulette, Nadette has bankrolled $329,634 and registered five wins from 21 starts.

The second-highest price of $310,000 went to the Successful Appeal mare Right Prevails and her 2024 colt by Jackie's Warrior . Offered together as Hip 15, the mare and her foal were bought by Sequel Bloodstock New York, who consigned the duo as part of the dispersal for Ladkin Estate & Thomas Partnership. Nineteen-year-old Right Prevails, a full sibling to 2005 Kentucky Derby (G1) runner-up Closing Argument, is the dam of multiple New York-bred stakes winner and $547,427 earner Barese (Laoban) as well as stakes-placed Breakfastatbonnies (Laoban).

Right Prevails is believed to be in foal to Spendthrift Farm stallion and 2022 champion 2-year-old male Forte , who recently finished his first season of breeding for a fee of $50,000. Her 2024 colt will represent the first crop from 2021 Eclipse Award-winning sprinter Jackie's Warrior, a five-time grade 1 winning son of Maclean's Music  standing at Spendthrift Farm. The colt is registered New York-bred and is eligible to compete in the Finger Lakes Futurity series.

"This was our inaugural July Digital Sale and we're thrilled with the results," said Leif Aaron, director of digital sales. "It was a very strong digital sale with record participation from buyers and sellers and a rock solid 83 percent clearance rate."

Overall, 161 offerings sold for $4,296,200 for an average of $26,684. These included: 22 of 24 yearlings; 6 of 6 weanlings; 25 of 28 mares with foals-at-foot; 38 of 44 broodmares; and 60 of 78 racehorses.
