Arabian Knight Enters Stud at $30k for 2025

The millionaire son of Uncle Mo won the 2023 Pacific Classic (G1) gate to wire.

Hill 'n' Dale at Xalapa announced Oct. 4 that Arabian Knight , the sale-topping 2-year-old and grade 1-winning millionaire by Uncle Mo , will stand for $30,000 with a live foal guarantee.

A $2.3 million purchase at the 2022 Ocala Breeders' Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training by Zedan Racing Stables' agent Gary Young from Top Line Sales, Arabian Knight won his racing debut during the Breeders' Cup World Championships weekend at Keeneland, where he captured a seven-furlong maiden race by 7 1/4 lengths in 1:21.98.

Arabian Knight then won the 2023 Southwest Stakes (G3) at Oaklawn Park in his second start, romping by 5 1/2 lengths and followed with a third in the Haskell Stakes (G1). He would earn his grade 1 credentials after taking the 2023 Pacific Classic Stakes (G1) at Del Mar in gate to wire fashion. Arabian Knight next showcased his brilliance in the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) at Santa Anita Park, where he led for the first mile with steady pressure throughout. He held on for a good fourth-place finish, just missing third by a neck. He retired with three wins from six starts and earned $1,562,275.

"He showed his brilliance from day one of the 2-year-old sale where he was a man among boys," said Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert. "We knew he was special from the moment we saw him. He has what I love in a horse: beautiful conformation and brilliance."

Hill 'n' Dale owner John Sikura said: "I was at Keeneland the day that Arabian Knight broke his maiden. He was brilliantly fast yet effortless in his first start, winning off without being asked. The first time I saw him in person, Bob Baffert said, 'Let me show you the perfect racehorse. His presence and conformation are flawless.' The breeders who have come to see him at the farm have a true understanding of that statement.

"Arabian Knight has the brilliance, physicality, and effortless motion that are so important for a sire to possess. He was the star at the 2-year-old sale making $2.3 million and has the 'it' factor we all look for. We anticipate he will be very popular at this fee," added Sikura.

Arabian Knight is the first winner out of the Astrology mare Borealis Night, who is a half sister to graded-placed winners Kinsley Kisses (Congrats) and Spooky Woods (Ghostzapper ). His immediate family includes graded-placed stakes winner Ever Elusive; stakes winners Connie K, Saratoga Summer, and Nerve; plus grade 1-placed winners Antahkarana and Shivering Gal.
