Marjorie Farms, located in Fredericksburg, Texas, has announced the acquisition of rising star stallion Copper Bullet .
At 2, the Steve Asmussen-trained Copper Bullet posted a win in the 6 1/2-furlong Saratoga Special (G2) at Saratoga Race Course and was grade 3 placed in the six-furlong Bashford Manor Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs. At 4, he placed in the 1 1/16-mile Razorback Handicap (G3) at Oaklawn Park.
The second-crop sire has shown strong early success in his stallion career under the care and direction of the team at Darby Dan Farm in Lexington. Copper Bullet is by More Than Ready, who also sired fellow 2014 rising star stallion Catholic Boy , and is out of an Unbridled Song mare Allegory.
Copper Bullet has made the trip from Kentucky to Texas and will stand at Marjorie Farms for the 2025 season for $4,000.
When presented with the opportunity to acquire Copper Bullet from Winchell Thoroughbreds and Darby Dan Bloodstock, the team at Marjorie Farms saw an excellent opportunity to bring a versatile young stallion to Texas.
