Another chapter of Thoroughbred racing in Northern California begins Oct. 19. Golden State Racing is proud to announce the upcoming schedule for Thoroughbred racing which will be held at the historic Pleasanton Racetrack with opening day Oct. 19. First post is 12:45 p.m. PT/3:45 p.m. ET.
This 26-day racing schedule, which will be held every Friday through Sunday through December at the Alameda County Fairgrounds track, will feature larger payouts and purses than previous years.
"Our betting fans can expect more races, bigger fields, and larger purses than ever before for this stretch of races", said Larry Swartzlander, executive director of the California Authority of Racing Fairs (Golden State Racing).
"Since the move to officially make Pleasanton, the headquarters of Thoroughbred racing in Northern California, our sport has seen an extremely successful revival and is thrilling to watch!" Swartzlander added.
