Susan Naylor's Manny Wah, a grade 1-placed sprinter who won the 2022 Phoenix Stakes (G2) at Keeneland and earned black type placings in 14 other races, will stand in New York in 2026 under the management of Irish Hill & Dutchess Views Stallions near Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
A son of champion Will Take Charge, Manny Wah was twice a participant in the Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1), availing himself nicely against the world's top sprinters by finishing fourth in 2022 and fifth in 2020. He proved himself to be a durable, top-quality sprinter over seven seasons of racing, amassing earnings of more than $1 million.
Other graded stakes placings include runner-up performances in the 2024 Toboggan Stakes (G3) and Tom Fool Handicap (G3) at Aqueduct Racetrack. As a 3-year-old in 2019, he kept very good company by finishing third in the Malibu Stakes (G1) and LeComte Stakes (G3).
Manny Wah broke his maiden at second asking and would earn black type in his 2-year-old year. He would proceed to earn stakes placings every year of his career.
Manny Wah is out of the winning, grade 1-placed mare Battlefield Angel, who is the half-sister to 2017 Kentucky Derby (G1) runner-up Lookin at Lee and multiple grade 3 winner Blended Citizen .
Manny Wah will stand for a private fee in 2026. He will be available for inspection by breeders starting Dec. 1.
