CBA Announces New Board Members

Hanzly Albina and Leo Dooley are newly appointed directors.

The new Board Members for the Consignors and Commercial Breeders Association (CBA) were installed at its most recent meeting.

The Board consists of 15 members: 8 from the Top 20 consignors and 7 from other consignors and commercial breeders. Each year a portion of the Board rotates off and new Board Members are appointed to fill those positions from among eligible CBA members.

Newly appointed directors are Hanzly Albina (Blake Albina Thoroughbred Services) and Leo Dooley (Norevale Farm). Walker Hancock (Claiborne Farm), Scott Mallory (Scott Mallory, agent) and Katie Taylor (Taylor Made Sales) were appointed to another term.

Those continuing to serve are Conrad Bandoroff (Denali Stud), Michael Callanan (Greenfield Farms), Lakota Gibson (Gainesway), Jill Gordon (Highgate Sales), Lynn Hancock (Stone Farm), Robyn Murray (Ashford Stud), Peter O'Callaghan (Woods Edge Farm), Hunter Simms (Warrendale Sales), Sarah Sutherland (Indian Creek), and Rob Tribbett (Watercress Farm).

"The CBA has made great progress in focusing on issues relevant to all who participate in the marketplace, especially in areas of equine welfare. The progress is only possible due to the dedication of board members, and we are grateful for Carrie Brogden and Caroline Wilson for their years of service. We look forward to working cooperatively with the sale companies to improve the sales experience for all horses and humans," said CBA president,Rob Tribbett.

The CBA is a trade organization with more than 300 members. The association's membership accounts for over 80% of the annual auction revenue in North America, as either breeder or consignor. The CBA works democratically on behalf of every consignor and commercial breeder, large and small, to provide representation and a constructive, unified voice related to sales issues, policies and procedures. The Association's initiatives are designed to encourage a fair and expanding marketplace for all who breed, buy or sell thoroughbreds.

The association was founded in 2005 and is based in Lexington, Kentucky. For more information, please
