The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) Championships return Thursday, October 2, welcoming riders from 18 different states. Thursday's schedule will feature dressage, a mounted and in-hand competitive obstacle trail course, ranch riding, Western pleasure, and a handful of fun classes.
The championships are being held at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, and continue through Sunday, October 5. The virtual program and the schedule for the 2025 T.I.P. Championships can be found at tjctip.com/About/CSF.
This year's event has attracted more than 200 Thoroughbreds, which will be competing in classes covering multiple disciplines. There are 42 divisions spanning hunters, jumpers, English pleasure, dressage, combined test, Western pleasure, ranch riding, and competitive trail. Each division will be awarded $2,000 in prize money, with awards up to 10th place. The competition also includes an In-hand Championship.
In their first careers, participating horses for the 2025 T.I.P. Championships have raced 3,190 times, winning 404 times and earning a grand total of $13,039,127. The last race start occurred at 50 different tracks. Of the participating horses, 92 were offered at public auction at least once in their lives and 34 were adopted from a Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance-accredited aftercare organization. Sixteen Thoroughbreds participated in a previous RRP Thoroughbred Makeover and seven are entered in the 2025 Thoroughbred Makeover.
"The T.I.P. Championships are a magnificent opportunity to showcase the versatility, adaptability, and perseverance of the Thoroughbred breed. You cannot find a breed with more heart or talent, both off the track and on it," said Kristin Werner, administrator of T.I.P. "Stable View is a great venue, well suited for a multi-discipline show like the T.I.P. Championships. We are very grateful to the Stable View team for their commitment and continued support of our program."
