Florida-bred Mythical will kick her 3-year-old season off in the Forward Gal Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park Jan. 31. The race will be run at 7 furlongs on the main track. The daughter of St Patrick's Day completed her 2-year-old season winning five races from six starts. She began her career by breaking her maiden last April at Gulfstream Park by 8 1/2 lengths. She then won back-to-back stakes at Saratoga Race Course, the Tremont Stakes against males and the Adirondack Stakes (G3).
Her only loss came in the Spinaway Stakes (G1) where she was a distant fifth to Tommy Jo. She completed the year winning two Florida Thoroughbred Breeders' and Owners' Association Florida Sire Series stakes, the Susan's Girl Stakes and My Dear Girl Stakes. Mythical is owned and bred by Arindel—who also owned and bred her dam, the Brethren mare Lailoni—and trained by Jorge Delgado, who is confident in her 3-year-old debut.
Delgado said, "We're looking forward to it. I know we're coming in 100%. I'm very excited for Saturday ... Of course, the races will start getting tougher, with more fillies and new fillies with every race. But she seems to handle everything pretty much so far, every distance and every challenge the same.
"She's undefeated here at Gulfstream. She's been very solid every race she runs here, and I think she likes to be home. She loves to breeze here, and she loves to run here. It's a speed-favoring track and she has natural speed and all those things together I think give her a better shot every time she runs here."
Edgard Zayas will ride her for the first time in the Forward Gal, replacing Emisael Jaramillo who recently moved his tack to the California circuit. Mythical drew post position 4, and is the 5-2 second choice.
Her competition includes morning-line favorite On Time Girl, the winner of the 2025 Fern Creek Stakes at Churchill Downs. The daughter of Not This Time is owned and bred by Albaugh Family Stables and trained by Brad Cox. Cox will also be represented by Sneaky Good, the winner of the Dec. 6 Sandpiper Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs. She is owned by LNJ Foxwoods and NK Racing.
Saffie Joseph Jr. is represented by two, Secane, who was third in the Cash Run Stakes Jan. 1, and Tessellate, the winner of the Jan. 10 Gasparilla Stakes at Tampa Bay and 2025 Juvenile Fillies Stakes Sprint at Gulfstream Park.
Completing the field of eight is Music Burst, who was second on an allowance optional claiming race at Turfway Park last out; Hollen Drive who Jan. 3 won an allowance optional claimer at Gulfstream Park; and Imperatrice, a recent maiden winner at Gulfstream Park trained by Todd Pletcher.

Sister Troienne Headlines Sweetest Chant
Also on the Jan. 31 card is the Sweetest Chant, which is run at 1 1/16 miles on the turf course. The race is led by the Brian Lynch trainee Sister Troienne. The 3-year-old homebred daughter of Munnings is coming into the Sweetest Chant on a four-race win streak, most recently taking the Ginger Brew Stakes Jan. 3 at Gulfstream. Owned by Woodslane Racing, she looks to stay perfect at the distance and add a fifth win from six starts.
Trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. has a duo entered of Day to Day and Spirit Doll. Day to Day was second by 3 lengths to Sister Troienne in the Wait a While Stakes Nov. 27, while Spirit Doll made the switch from dirt to turf Oct. 25, winning the Our Dear Peggy Stakes at Gulfstream Park by 6 1/2 lengths.
The Sweetest Chant includes three other horses that have won at the 1 1/16-mile distance on turf. The Cox-trained filly Aggressive Lime is making her 3-year-old debut having last won an allowance at the distance at Churchill Downs. One Sweet Girl is owned by Slam Dunk Racing and trained by Carlo David. The daughter of Good Samaritan looks to make it four in a row after winning over the course and distance last out. Brat Pack, trained by Graham Motion, was a recent maiden winner in her second start at Gulfstream Park Dec. 24. In her first start she was second at the mile distance on turf, and the extra sixteenth of a mile proved to help the daughter of Gun Runner .
Completing the field of 11 is Surprise Ending, the Brendan Walsh trainee who broke her maiden Jan. 4; Spicy Princess who broke her maiden last out in her eighth start over 1 1/16 miles in an off-the-turf race; Ginger Brew third- and fifth-place finishers Storm's Wake andBert's Knoty Girl; and My Lady Jbella, who was fourth last out to One Sweet Girl.
