Movie Night broke her maiden May 16 with a clear victory at Churchill Downs.
The 3-year-old daughter of the late Speightstown broke sharply and tracked the pace set by Epic Proud Mary, who posted fractions of :21.95 and :44.91. Down the backstretch, the Will Walden trainee continued to race well in hand under jockey Luan Machado and she made her move for the lead as the field rounded the turn for home. Movie Night hit the stretch a length in front of her competition, and continued to have it her way during the stretch drive, opening up on her rivals. She took the 6-furlong race on the sloppy (sealed) surface by 8 lengths in a final time of 1:09.50. As the post-time favorite, she paid $3.52 for a $2 wager. In her second career start, she earned a 99 Equibase Speed Figure and an 84 Beyer Speed Figure.
A homebred for WinStar Farm, Movie Night is out of the Medaglia d'Oro mare Savvy Star, who is the dam of three winners. Her most notable progeny is Stellify, a daughter of Justify , who earned more than $1.4 million on the track and scored in the 2025 Ladies Marathon Invitational Stakes (G3T) at Kentucky Downs.

Second time's a charm for Silver Talent
Silver Talent broke his maiden in a 1-mile dirt race May 14 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
Under jockey Flavien Prat, the 3-year-old son of Constitution rated off the pace after the break behind the leader Chili Palmer, who set fractions of :23.13, :46.48, and 1:11.35. The Chad Brown trainee continued to stalk the pace down the backstretch and moved outside the leaders on the turn for home. As the field hit the top of the stretch, Silver Talent was a head in front, and he continued under a drive to pull away and score by 3 3/4 lengths. He completed the race in a final time of 1:36.17 and paid $3.44 for the win as the post-time favorite. He earned an 88 ESF and an 83 Beyer for his victory.
The Juddmonte homebred is out of the grade 1-winning mare Paulassilverlining, who was campaigned for the last year of her racing career by Brown and Juddmonte. Her most notable victories came in the 2017 Distaff Stakes (G1) at Churchill Downs and the 2017 Madison Stakes (G1) at Keeneland. In the 2016 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) at Santa Anita Park, she finished third. Paulassilverlining is the dam of one other winner on the track, Artorius, who won the 2022 Curlin Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.
