Hot, dry weather is on tap for attendees at Saratoga Race Course June 5, the third day of the Belmont Stakes Festival. The main track is fast, and the turf is firm.
The high temperature Friday is expected to reach 88 degrees under sunny skies and relatively low humidity. A large weekday crowd is expected.
Conditions are expected to turn cloudy Saturday with the possibility of rain in the afternoon when the Belmont Stakes (G1) is contested.
Customary during Triple Crown season, fillies and mares are spotlighted for Friday racing. Several elite racehorses are in action June 5, such as Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner Always a Runner in the Acorn Stakes (G1), 2025 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1T) winner Gezora in the New York Stakes (G1T), and last year's champion 3-year-old filly Nitrogen in the Ogden Phipps Stakes (G1).
